Powering Rural India, One Megawatt at a Time
India’s ambitious PM-KUSUM scheme continues to reshape the rural energy landscape. Designed to promote solar adoption among farmers and rural communities, Component-A of the scheme focuses on setting up grid-connected, ground-mounted solar power plants on agricultural lands or unused / barren Lands .
With Telangana being one of the most progressive states in solar adoption, the implementation of Component-A has seen significant momentum. At Truzon Solar, we’re proud to be on the frontlines – Empowering farmers, investors and developers to participate in this clean energy revolution.
What is Component-A?
Component-A allows individual farmers, cooperatives, panchayats and developers to set up 0.5 – 2 MW grid-connected solar power plants on non-cultivable lands. The power generated is sold directly to the grid under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), creating a new income stream for landowners while supporting India’s renewable energy targets.
